Halloween is a kid's favorite time of year. And who could blame them when they get to wear fantastical costumes in public, paint their faces and receive treats by the fistful.   With Halloween on a Monday this year, the festivities have been in full swing since Friday.  Here's our top picks for Sunday.

1.  A Musical Haunted House

Brooklyn Music School hosts its 4th Annual family friendly Halloween event.  Guests will be led through four stories of BMS’s hauntingly decorated landmarked building with a shtick or treat presented by BMS' students and faculty.  It all culminates in a Halloween themed concert.  This event is a great way to get creepy and creative at the same time.

 

 

 

2.  Queens Botanical Garden’s Halloween at the Garden

Come celebrate Halloween at QBG! Enjoy activities for children all afternoon: spooky story time, magic show, bouncy house, crafts, candy art, games, and our first-ever Halloween parade!

3.  Oíche Shamhna: An Irish Halloween @ Irish Arts Center

At IAC, families can enjoy an Irish connection to New York City’s favorite holiday! It’s all about treats, not tricks at this spooky and fun Halloween celebration for all ages.

4.  Brooklyn Boulders Queensbridge’s Halloween Party

The rock climbing facility will turn into a spooky kingdom haunted by the Curse of the Carabiner. Your children will crawl through massive spiderwebs in our cave, then solve the Riddle Troll’s tricky puzzles, and climb the haunted chimney to help the citizens of Queensbridge free their beloved Queen Courtney.

5.  Halloween Kidz Karnival @ Hudson River Park

Enjoy a Halloween party with interactive storytelling with Story Pirates, magic with Kid Ace, pumpkin painting, rides, face painting, treats and much more.

6.  Halloween Parade and Pumpkin Flotilla @ Central Park Conservancy

7.  Bobcatkidssoca Halloween Party @ Bobcat Kids Soca

Check out this Caribbean-themed Halloween party featuring a costume contest, games, and special treats over Soca beats which will surely move little feets. There will also be story telling and special performances.

8.  A Pink Halloween with Eloise at The Plaza Hotel

The resident six year old, Eloise, celebrates Halloween this year with two fun events on Sunday and Monday!  Dress up in your best costume and enjoy a rawther fancy costume contest! Party attendees will be painting pumpkins, PINK, PINK, PINK and decorating them with the most pink glitter and gems. A selection of pumpkin tea, pink lemonade, chicken sliders, french fries and lovely pink desserts will be served.
